PUSA: It is necessary to set up a fire and rescue station (BBP) in each district in the state, including in Sebuyau, Pusa, and Lingga, according to Batang Lupar MP Mohamad Shafizan Kepli.

He stated that this proposal has been submitted to the Ministry of Housing and Local Government.

“I have proposed to the ministry to allocate funds for the construction of BBP in every district in Sarawak, including in the Sebuyau, Pusa, and Lingga districts,” he told reporters yesterday.

He reiterated the call for the government to recognise the importance of establishing BBPs in rural or coastal areas.

“This has been voiced several times in parliament – the need for BBPs in villages located far inland. Therefore, I would like to reiterate the same request for the government to consider establishing new BBPs in the Batang Lupar pariamentary area,” he said.

He also discussed the construction of a replacement facility for the long-delayed Sebuyau secondary school (SMK).

“For SMK Sebuyau and others, I will not stop talking about new construction projects or renovations that need to be implemented immediately.

“I am doing my best to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted by the people, especially in matters of education, which is one of the crucial foundations of a country’s progress.

“My desire is for rural children to have conducive and comfortable teaching and learning sessions, complete with facilities, similar to those in urban areas,” he added.
