LUNDU: Early childhood studies and religious teachings are among the aspects in education that needed to be emphasised at a young age.

Opar assemblyman, Billy Sujang, stated that early childhood education and religious teachings among others needed to be harmonised.

“This is because with such an education among our young kids, it can shape individual character and bring about a change in mindset,” he said.

He said this in his speech during the 10th Convocation Ceremony of RUSA Kindergartens in Lundu and Bau for the 2023/2024 session here, recently.

Additionally, he also suggested to the chairpersons of the ‘Apostolic Worship Centre’ (AWC) churches in the Lundu and Sematan areas to apply to the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) for funding to upgrade or develop their respective churches.

Meanwhile, during the ceremony, a total of 23 students from five RUSA Kindergartens in Bau, Lundu, and Sematan areas received their graduation certificates.
