KUCHING: The grand finale of UiTM Sarawak Branch’s ‘The Voice Interfaculty V3.0 Virtual Edition 2021’ was recently held live on the university’s official Facebook page.

The event organised by the Student Affairs Division of UiTM Sarawak Branch in collaboration with the Student Representative Council of UiTM Sarawak Branch Session 2020/2021 and the Youth and Sports Ministry was held online for the first time due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

UiTM Sarawak Branch said the programme was fully sponsored by the Youth and Sports Ministry through the Sarawak Youth Creative Industry Fund (SYCIF).

“The purpose of the programme is to find university representatives to compete in festivals at the national or international level, to help prepare for larger programmes and to scout for more singing talent among students,” it said yesterday (Sept 28).

The university said there were two categories, namely Jazz and Malaysian Rhythm, and several prize categories were also up for grabs, namely Best Vocal, Best Video through jury selection and Best Performance through student and public voting.
