Sibuti MP resumes work to serve the people

KUCHING: After winning, it is time to move forward and resume serving the rakyat, said Sibuti MP Lukanisman Awang Sauni.

The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate retained the seat with a majority-vote of 11,475, garnering 22,150 votes in the just concluded 15th general election (GE15).

“Sincerely I would like to thank the voters who cast their votes to achieve this victory. This success was also achieved by the machinery that helped me throughout the campaign.

“I am confident that my campaign will achieve victory based on a healthy campaign, telling about the ability of GPS to achieve the agenda of prioritising development and the rights as enshrined in the constitution. I approach all ages and races,” he said in his Facebook post today.

He added with that he would resume working and serving the people.

“A lot of feedback, messages, complaints, advice that I received throughout the campaign is for me to think about and take action.

“It’s time to move forward, #LukForward, unite again after the election to achieve a stable Malaysia and Sibuti Maju Jaya,” he said.

Lukanisman successfully defended the seat for a second term defeating his two opponents, Zulhaidah Suboh of Pakatan Harapan (PH) who garnered 10,405 votes and Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru (PBDSB)’s president Bobby Wiliam with 1,361 votes.
