KUCHING: The Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society revealed that it draws its greatest inspiration and lessons from cancer-afflicted children.

Despite the disease turning their world upside down at such as a young age, the society said these children face life with ease and simplicity.

“Life threw them a curveball, but they decided to make the best out of it – teaching us to pause and find simple joy in the midst of chaos,” it said in a social media post on Yesterday (Aug 19).

“If we observe and listen attentively, every child has something to teach us.

“These children may not know it yet, but the public can help and support them in their cancer fighting journey,” it said.

Towards this end SCCS said it had recently received a donation from JCI Kuching.

The society said the donation was raised through JCI Kuching’s face mask sale.

“We truly believe that we have one of the most supportive communities caring for families who are affected by childhood cancer.

“It is your love and contributions that give children the chance to hope again,” it said.
