BINTULU: The Bintulu Social Welfare Organisation (Socso) office recently reached out to the next of kin of Socso benefit recipients to facilitate the payment of the Corpse Management Benefit (FPM).

The beneficiary in this case is Maserina Roslee, the wife of the insured person, Ahmad Nizam Nasri, who tragically passed away on June 14 due to an accident while travelling.

Bintulu Socso Office manager Jimmy Hendrick Kijon stated that Maserina is eligible to receive a lifetime pension and the FPM. The necessary claims have been processed and will be submitted to the Socso headquarters for the initial payment.

“Even though the deceased individual is no longer with us, Socso will ensure that the welfare of the dependents is protected through the benefits provided,” said Jimmy on Friday (June 23).

The funeral benefit payment voucher was handed over to the heirs of Ahmad Nizam on June 20 in the presence of the deceased’s employer and the executive officer (benefits) of Socso Bintulu Office, Hanisah Abd Hamid and Shurinna Wong.
