Dalat turns Red, Song & Betong Orange

KUCHING: Dalat District has changed status from orange to red today (Jan 24) after reporting seven new cases, bringing the total number of local infection cases in the district to 41 cases.

At the same time, Song District has changed status from green to orange within one day today too after 27 local infection cases were recorded there.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in its daily Covid-19 update stated that all cases reported in Song were linked to the Pasai Cluster.

Meanwhile, Betong District also changed status from yellow to orange after 28 local infection cases were recorded in the last 14 days.

 “Tatau District on the other hand, has changed status from green to yellow after one local infection case was recorded today (Jan 24),” it said.

The districts of Kuching, Sibu, Miri, Beluru and Kanowit remain in red with a total of 1,662 cases of local infection reported in the last 14 days.

Bintulu, Sebauh and Dalat districts also remain orange with 111 cases of local infections reported in the last 14 days.

The districts of Bukit Mabong, Bau, Pakan, Serian, Subis, Belaga, Meradong, Julau, Kapit, Simunjan, Asajaya, Lubok Antu, Sarikei, Limbang, Selangau, Samarahan and Sri Aman retained their yellow status with a total of 81 local infections reported in the last 14 days.

“There are 12 green districts in the state,” said the committee.
