KUCHING: Mydin Petra Jaya Hypermarket assures that its food supply will be enough to cater for the extended movement control order (MCO) until April 14.

Its manager Stanley Jimbong said every week the hypermarket would replenish the food stock to ensure people have enough supply of food.

“We also make sure there is no over-buying. For daily necessities such as rice, sugar and cooking oil, purchase is limited to two items per customer,” he said yesterday.

He said items for babies such as milk products and diapers are sufficient as well.

“However, during the MCO period we do not offer any cheap sales and price is maintained as usual,” he said.

“For the convenience of our customers, we also provide home delivery to customers who purchase items in large quantities. However, this is for dry goods only,” he said.

He said for wet items, livestock or vegetables, customers are encouraged to visit Mydin.

“To ensure the safety of our staff and customers, we conduct body temperature checks to make sure they do not have fever before entering the hypermarket,” he said.
