SARATOK: Community leaders and tribal leaders (KMKK) must be honest about everything that takes place under their watch.

Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri said there are grassroots leaders who ignore issues brought up by the people.

“I hope this does not happen in the Kalaka constituency. I fully trust the KMKK line-up that was appointed.

“Report honestly. That means, good things should be reported as good. Similarly, things that are not good, need to be reported as not good.

“For example, a ditch project, if it does not meet the specifications… KMKK can dispute and object. Remember, project development uses large funds from the government.

“Therefore, I request KMKK in the Kalaka constituency to be honest and try to raise all the issues brought by the people. If possible, resolve them.”

He said this after holding a meeting with KMKK Kalaka to identify every problem with a view of finding the best solution here, yesterday.

That’s why he said, he made meetings with KMKK a routine, pointing out that it gives him the opportunity to listen to reports from each area.
