SIBU: The Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bawang Assan branch’s development and community committee team recently visited the family of a 16-year-old girl who was the victim of a tragic hit-and-run accident.

The incident happened while she was walking to school from their rented house at Lorong Langsat 4 here.

The team, led by its chairman, Councillor Kelvin Lau Kor Jie, was informed about the family’s distressing situation by Kapitan Tang Chuo Ging.

After learning about the family’s difficult circumstances, the team quickly decided to offer their help and support.

“Kapitan Tang informed us about the family’s situation, and our team decided to provide assistance. We hope for the young girl’s recovery and are grateful that we can offer some moral support too,” said Lau.

Councillor Yong Ing Hock, Councillor Justin Wong, and others were also present during the visit.
