KUCHING: Sarawak sailors won a silver and a bronze medal in the recent 16th KFC-Langkawi Regatta Perdana and ASAF Sailing Cup at the National Sailing Training Centre in Kedah from Feb 14-17.
Darron Chin Hui Jie won a silver in the RS One and Eric Owen Tan from SMK St Joseph Miri a won a bronze in the Laser 4.7 class.
Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) in collaboration with the Sarawak State Sailing Association (Sasa) sent a total of 11 sailors to the event.
The state sailors took part in the optimist, laser, windsufing and 29er skiff events in the tournament which attracted about 300 participants from countries like Singapore, Bahrain, India, Thailand, South Korea, China, Brunei and the Peninsular states.
