SRI AMAN: The public are urged to take note of the services and assistance provided by the Ministry of Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Children Development (KWKPK).

Its assistant minister Datuk Francis Harden Hollis told members of the public this during a Chinese New Year dinner organised by SUPP Women’s Movement, Simanggang Branch Youth Movement and the Chinese Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Munggu Sabun recently.

“The latest services and assistance from the ministry include the Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC), death benefit assistance and assistance to kidney patients undergoing treatment.

“Interested applicants can get the forms at the division’s Social Welfare Department, Simanggang Service Centre or download them from the KWKPK website,” he said.

Francis praised the organisers for working hard together to make the Chinese New Year dinner a success. 

Among the 700 guests were SUPP Women’s Movement chief Kapitan Ling Siew Hung, Youth Movement chief Tr Igai Janting, Temenggong Kueh Aik Seng, Pemanca Jegai Jawa, ex-Pemanca Michael John and treasurer of SUPP Simanggang Branch Kapitan Tay Yaw Ming.

During the dinner at Golden City Restaurant, Simpang Kampung STC, a total of 150 new Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) membership applications were received.
