Covid-19 statistics for June 8.

KUCHING: Three districts namely Tanjung Manis, Bintulu and Serian have changed status from yellow to green zone on Monday (June 8) after no new Covid-19 positive case was detected in the last 14 days.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said to date there are 37 districts in green zone, while Simunjan, Samarahan and Kuching remained in yellow zone.

The total number of positive cases in the state remained at 555.

Eleven new person-under-investigation (PUI) cases were reported, with nine still awaiting laboratory result.

No new recovery and discharged cases were reported, while 13 cases are still undergoing treatment at the hospitals, of which 12 are from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) and one reported at Bintulu Hospital.

On the number of person-under-surveillance (PUS), there are 426 more cases registered in hotels for quarantine, bringing the total of 2,150 PUS cases being placed at 38 hotels throughout the state.

A total of 13,753 PUS cases had completed quarantine and were allowed to return home.

SDMC said as of Monday (June 8), disinfection operations have been carried out by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), bringing the total number of areas being disinfected to 931 across the state.

Meanwhile, based on Ministry of Local Government and Housing reports, the authorities have disinfected 52 more locations.
