KUCHING: Tanjung Manis District turned from orange to yellow today (Mar 26) after recording only 19 local infection cases in the last 14 days.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said with this, the total number of districts with yellow status rose to 17 while the number of districts with orange status dropped to two.
“Twelve districts remain red and nine remain green,” they said in a statement today.
The committee said 250 new cases had recovered and been discharged from hospitals in the state — 72 from Sibu Hospital, Miri Hospital (49), Bintulu Hospital (48), Low-Risk Treatment Centre (PKRC) under Kapit Hospital (28), Betong PKRC (25), Sarawak General Hospital (19), Sarikei Hospital (5), Serian PKRC (2), Sri Aman Hospital (1), and Mukah PKRC (1).
“This brings the total number of recovered and discharged cases to 12,351 or 81.39 percent of total Covid-19 cases in Sarawak,” they said.
SDMC said 213 new person-under-investigation (PUI) cases had been reported and none were awaiting laboratory test results.
