KUCHING: A truck carrying tar oil erupted in flames at Kampung Sabun, Simunjan, this afternoon.
The Fire and Rescue Department’s (Bomba) operations centre reported that the vehicle was nearly complete destroyed by the fire.
According to Bomba, firefighters from the Simunjan fire station responded promptly after receiving a distress call at 1.47 pm today.
The firefighters battled the blaze using a dual-nozzle stream extended over 200 feet from their water tanker, employing four barrels of foam in addition to water.
After completely extinguishing the fire, the firefighters returned to their station.
