MUKAH: The Sarawak Baitulmal Fund (TBS) has implemented a Mini Iftar programme to assist the under privilege and needy (asnaf) recipients.

According to a statement from the Mukah division of TBS, the programme started in Matu and extended to Mukah in an effort to enliven the livelihood of the recipients for the upcoming Raya celebration.

“This programme is carried out at the homes of selected recipients due to their frail health and being deprived of basic necessities.

“Some households are in darkness because there is no electricity and they are living alone without family members by their side,” the statement said.

Therefore, TBS Mukah division has implemented this program to provide assistance and to make the recipients feels like TBS is their family.

According to the press statement, it was TBS annual programme during Ramadan, and the iftar meals were fully sponsored.

TBS hopes the public would take the opportunity to contribute financially or giveaway foods to those in need to make this program a success.
