ASAJAYA: The temporary fire station in Asajaya has already started its operations this month.

“An early start is really out of necessity. One can never know when its services are called upon,” said Kota Samarahan MP Rubiah Wang in a recent statement.

She said the station is very much awaited by the people here as previously they had to rely on just one fire station that was serving a huge area.

Rubiah also commended the state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) for successfully organising a community programme in her constituency.

“I believe this event will help strengthen the relationship between government agencies and the public.

“It is also capable of spreading awareness to the community more effectively in preventing and combating fire cases,” she added.

Rubiah hoped that the community will continue to provide support to Bomba and other rescue agencies by complying with the established safety regulations.
