KUCHING: The annual Youth Communication Camp (YCC) organised by the Kuching Toastmasters Club (KTMC) will be held at Kem Putra Sentosa in Sematan from July 20 to 22 this year.

Club president, Wee Pei Chai, disclosed this when he led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the event’s patron, Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, here on March 14 to brief him on the programme.

Registration for the camp will be held from April 12 to May 24.

Abdul Karim has been YCC’s patron and its biggest supporter since the camp was founded in 2012.

During the courtesy visit, he praised Wee and the organising commitee, led by Sahil Dev and principal facilitator Mike Lim, acknowledging their efforts to attract students from all over the state every year.

The camp’s three main thrusts are public speaking, team building and leadership development and talent showcasing.

Apart from the educational and public speaking components of the camp, participants will also go through various team building activities including jungle trekking and an obstacle course.
