SIBU: A mother lodged a police report after her son’s ‘Jeep’ toy car worth RM900 disappeared and suspected stolen on Friday morning (Jan 21).

Acting Sibu district police chief Superintendent Dr Collin Babat in a statement on Saturday (Jan 22) said that the toy car, park in the victim’s home porch in Jalan Chiku, was believed to have been away by thieves.

He said the 32-year-old woman became aware of the incident after finding the gate of her house wide open when she was about to go out to work at about 7.30am.

“Feeling uneasy to see the gate of her house open, the victim then made an inspection and found that his son’s ‘Jeep’ toy car was missing,” he said.

Collin said before disappearing, the toy car was parked in front of the door.

He added that the suspect is believed to have lifted and removed the automatic fence before entering the garage of the house and stealing the toy car which operates using a battery.
