MIRI: Two brothers suspected of breaking into a bungalow at Jalan Pujut 3B here were arrested by police on Tuesday evening.

Miri District Deputy Police chief, Supt Stanley Jonathan Ringgit confirmed the arrests and said the suspects, aged 34 and 36 years old, were picked up from a house in Kampung Lereng Bukit by a CID team at 6.20pm.

He said the suspects had been remanded to facilitate investigation under Section 457 of the Penal Code.

Stanley said police also recovered two vehicles and several documents from the suspects.

“The Toyota Camry and Honda Civic cars were found at two separate locations, namely Batu Satu Kuala Baram and Kampung Lereng Bukit,” he said here.

Stanley said initial investigation revealed that both suspects had undergone drug rehabilitation at Simpang Renggam Rehabilitation Centre in Johor.

He also said the police were now tracking down the remaining suspects believed to be involved in the break-in.
