MARUDI: Two men aged 22 and 44 who are suspected of stealing oil palm fruit bunches were arrested by a police team led by ASP Mike Ibrahim.
Baram District Police chief, DSP Gabriel Risut in a statement said the two suspects were arrested at Jalan Tinbarap SOP Beluru with a four-wheel-drive vehicle at 11.00am yesterday.
The 44-year-old suspect was identified as Lim Jon Fan from Batu 3, Simpang Saratok, Saratok while the second suspect was identified as Nicholas Sulau anak Bruno from Rumah Mathew Sigat, Lubuk Kelambu, Ulu Teru.
They were taken to Beluru Police Station for further investigation.
Following an interrogation, both suspects admitted to stealing oil palm fruit bunches. They will be charged under Section 379 of the Penal Code.
