BINTULU: Two women can thank their lucky stars for escaping only with light injuries following an accident along Jalan Kuala Tatau yesterday (Sept 3).
The accident involved a pickup truck that skidded off the road and crashed into a ditch near the Jepak roundabout.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Bintulu station were promptly deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call around 5.45 pm.
On arrival, they found the victims were still inside the vehicle and proceeded to extricate them.
The victims aged 60 and 22, were treated by paramedics at the scene to before being taken to the hospital for further treatment.
