UiTM Sarawak and Universitas Panca Bhakti strengthen ties

KOTA SAMARAHAN: The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and Universitas Panca Bhakti (UPB) Pontianak, Indonesia, is being hailed as a historic moment for both institutions.
UiTM Sarawak rector Datuk Dr Jamil Hamali pointed out that this event signifies a strong commitment between the two esteemed parties to foster academic excellence, cultivate innovation, and establish networks for sharing knowledge on a global platform.
“The collaboration aims to fortify research and industry connections between Malaysia and Indonesia.
“Additionally, it seeks to enhance educational quality, equip students with broader opportunities, especially through international exchange programmes, collaborative research initiatives, and practical training.”
Jamil expressed these sentiments during the MoU signing ceremony held at UiTM Samarahan Campus 2 here on Wednesday (Aug 16).
He expressed hope that this collaboration will bear fruitful outcomes, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and society.
Meanwhile, UPB rector Dr Purwanto highlighted that UPB plans to send its dean representative and students to learn more about the Halal Industry Programme at UiTM Sarawak.
The MoU, which takes effect for the next three years (2023-2026), was signed by both Jamil and Purwanto as representatives of their respective institutions.
