KUCHING: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) Business School won acclaim as the Best Business School (Professional and Executive Programmes) at the prestigious Malaysian Education and TVET Awards (META) 2023 in Kuala Lumpur recently.
In a statement Unimas Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suadi said the significant achievement is a strong reflection of the hard work, cooperation, passion, commitment and the “Stronger Together” spirit of those in the university as well as its strategic partners.
“Having been established only in 2016 and with a strong vision to be the preferred provider of quality academic and training programmes plus the unwavering support of everyone in the university, Unimas Business School has made the amazing journey from being a small outfit to a well established commercial arm of Unimas in the space of seven years.
“The award is indeed a strong testament of Unimas Business School’s pioneering and leadership position in this important industry,” he said.
He added that the business school will continue to provide a wide range of training opportunities designed to strengthen career progression, improve knowledge, skills and competencies.
“This is ranging from short courses of specific training programmes to professional and executive level postgraduate programmes, in serving the working professionals and adult practitioners,” he said.
