KOTA SAMARAHAN: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) graduates have a high employment rate of 90.6 per cent post-graduation.

UNIMAS vice chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohammad Kadim Suaidi said, “At this year’s Talent Recruitment and Career Exhibition (TRACE), we have about 60 industry players offering about 1,000 job vacancies to our students as well as to the public.

“Therefore, if those 1,000 vacancies have been fulfilled, then this shows that TRACE is a helpful platform for graduates to find jobs.”

“By working together with industry players, our students and graduates have the opportunities to explore many options and go through interviews directly with companies that they like.”

He said this during a press conference at Dewan Tun Abdul Rahman (DeTAR), UNIMAS yesterday.

He hoped that the graduates would also receive premium salaries from their employers.

“That is why we are working closely with industry players such as with Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC) through the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
