KUCHING: Early preparation to face the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) should be the way to go.

This will rid the students of last minute nervousness which produce negative outcome, said an UPSR candidate Siti Nur Najwa Tahir,12, who has started preparing four months before the date of their UPSR this year. This is good for her planning, she said.

“An early preparation helps to avoid us getting nervous during the last minute,” said the Sekolah Matu Baru pupil.

Ainul Damia Husna Abu Hanifah, 12, from SK Pulo also pointed out she had started her UPSR preparation six months earlier.

“After having started an early preparation, I am confident that I will be able to answer questions with confidence,” she said.

Meanwhile Muhd Aliff Hamizan,12, hoped he sould be able to get an excellent result in sitting for his UPSR this year.

“UPSR is the yardstick to measure our ability and understanding while being in primary school so an excellent result is the one that will lead us into a proper direction when going to our secondary education later,” the SK Matu Baru pupil pointed out.
