‘Sarawak first’ is the slogan that opens a new opportunity for the government to protect the rights and interests of the state and its people, said Safiee Ahmad (GPS-DARO).

In the same breadth, Safiee hoped that the government could speed up the implementation of the Daro Health Clinic which has been approved under the Rancangan Malaysia (RMK-11) with allocation of RM35 million and which should have been tendered in May last year.

“The need for the clinic is urgent because the current clinic is only temporary after the old Health Clinic was burned down in October 2015,” he said.

Safiee also wants the state government to build a Community College in Daro and suggests a location near the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE).

He said the youths of Tanjung Manis and Matu districts badly need such college, especially for those in need of a second chance at higher education.

Safiee also wants more telecommunication towers built in Daro for better connectivity.
