KAPIT: A local man thanked his lucky stars after he escaped terrifying accident without any injuries at Amang Bridge, Jalan Melekun last night.
Firemen from Kapit station were despatched to the scene, about 9km from the station, after receiving a distress call around 9.05pm.
Upon arriving, they confirmed that the accident only involved a single vehicle.
It was reported that the car swerved and plunged 30-foot down a ravine before it got stuck behind a resident’s house.
The 25-year-old driver who did not sustain any injuries, managed to get out of the vehicle with the local’s help.
After conducting size-up and ensuring that the situation is safe, the team departed back to their station at 9.40pm.
