KUCHING: Pay and Go App users have been forking out a little more with a new adjustment to parking charges at Vivacity Mall, effective Jan 18.
The decision, made by the Vivacity Mall management, mandates the addition of Sales and Service Tax to the standard parking rates.
Users now incur an extra 6 per cent charge on their parking fees.
In a Facebook post, Pay and Go stressed its role as only the system solution provider for Vivacity Mall and directed the public to address their inquiries directly to Vivacity Management.
For the basement car park and multilevel car park, the daily rate, including public holidays, was previously RM3 for the first two hours and RM1 for every subsequent hour.
With the new adjustment, the charge now is RM3.18 for the first two hours.
Similarly, the premier car park, which had a rate of RM7 for the first two hours and RM3 for every subsequent hour on Monday to Friday, now is RM7.42.
On weekends and public holidays, the rates were RM10 for the first two hours and RM3 for every subsequent hour, but with the adjustment, it is now RM10.60 for the first two hours.
