KUCHING: Dewan Negara President Tan Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar has officially submitted his resignation, according to a news report by The Malaysian Insight.
The report suggested that his resignation is to the pave way for his imminent appointment as Sarawak’s governor.
“It is understood that he will get his letter of appointment soon and then he will take the oath of office later.
“This transition will mark his succession of Sarawak Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, who has held the position of Sarawak governor since March 2014,” The Malaysian Insight said.
New Sarawak Tribune is seeking comments from Wan Junaidi on his appointment.
