KUCHING: Christmas and New Year’s Eve 2023 celebrants as well as Chinese New Year celebrants would be spoilt with a delicious spread of food, drinks and desserts festive menus launched by the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) The Isthmus restaurant here yesterday.
“After months of detailed planning, BCCK’s Isthmus Christmas and Chinese New Year celebration is now back and it is going to be bigger and better!,” said Chief Finance Officer (CFO) Joseph Chung in his welcoming speech.
“Our creative culinary team has crafted the festive menu to include traditional festive ingredients as well as the local favorites.
“The responses have been favourable for both festive celebrants in the past and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all parties for their continuous support of our convention centre.
“So be sure to secure your seats in advance to truly indulge in our celebration treats,” Chung added.
The launch of the festive menus promotions comprised the ‘Isthmus Christmas’s set which is a three course delicious Christmas set menu available from December 1 to 30th (not available on December 24th, 25th and 31st).
This RM95 nett set menu offers walnut tomato la’soupe as the starter, delicacies like Roulade de turkey, 360 minute beef or salmon nistuke as main courses along with mouthwatering desserts and chocolate prune cake with gula apong salted caramel.
Next is the Christmas Eve Buffet dinner on December 24 and Christmas Day buffet lunch on December 25 and is priced at RM95 nett for adults through online booking and RM110 nett for walk-ins with children between 5-12 years old priced at RM50 nett for both online and walk-in.
The buffet offers a vast selection to choose from with its fresh salad bar and hot tureen of beancard and crabmeat chowder to the ‘chilled on ice’ selection, smoked station, carvery station, pizza station, on the spot wok station as well as a selection from eastern and western inspired dishes.
Chung said throughout the buffet, diners can witness the chef in action at the carvery station where they will carve and prepare delicious meats such as turkey stuffed with chestnut mushroom duxelles and roasted beef striploin along with a selection of black pepper, cranberry, giblet and mint sauce.
Those with sweet tooth also can enjoy sweet Christmas indulgence such as gula apong creme brulee, traditional Christmas yule logs, Christmas stollen and Christmas cinnamon pie as well as gingerbread cookies, assorted cakes and mini tartlets.
Similarly, diners can choose to celebrate the closing of the year and bid goodbye to 2022 at the Raintree Restaurant with the New Year’s Eve Buffet dinner on December 31st. It is priced at RM95 nett for adults through online booking and RN110 nett for walk-ins, with children between 5-12 years old at RM50 for both online and walk in.
