BINTULU: A total of 100 people consisting of single mothers, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and the less fortunate in the RPR Kidurong housing estate received food baskets and bubur lambuk (porridge) during a Ramadan programme.

Tong Seng Huat (Bintulu) Sdn Bhd collaborated with the Bintulu Parliamentary Service Centre for this initiative.

The distribution was officiated by the Special Officer to the Bintulu MP, Steven Kong Kai Seng, and Azman Abdul Rahman, along with the manager of Tong Seng Huat Bintulu Branch, Tan Song Lin, in the compound of Masjid Al-Mustaqim RPR Kidurong on Thursday (March 14).

Kong welcomed the programme, which aims to provide assistance and alleviate the burden of the less fortunate in welcoming the month of Ramadan.

He stated that this inaugural programme was not only to foster cooperation among the committee members of Masjid Al-Mustaqim RPR Kidurong and the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of RPR Kidurong and the local community but also to share blessings with those who are less fortunate.

“I am grateful for the concern and care shown to those who are less fortunate, and to all parties involved in making this noble programme a success.

“I sincerely hope that these contributions, to some extent, can help all recipients and bring some joy to them to experience the vibrancy of this Ramadan month.”

Kong also hoped that similar programmes would continue to be organised in the future to share blessings with the less fortunate.
