KUCHING: Police here are currently looking for the remaining 11 suspects wanted in connection with a mass brawl in Hui Sing Garden last Monday.
Kuching district police chief ACP Awang Din Awang Gani said they had identified the suspects.
“A team of CID police from the state police headquarters and district headquarters was deployed shortly after receiving a report on the incident. Ten suspects aged between 17 and 41 years old had been arrested.
“We are still hunting for 11 more suspects aged between 20 and 50 years old in Padawan and Kuching districts to facilitate investigations under Section 148 of the Penal Code,” he said in a statement yesterday.
It is believed the 11 suspects are still in the state and members of the public who have information are asked to channel them to the police.
“We also warn the public not to hide these individuals as they can be charged as accomplices,” he said.
