KUCHING: A total of 12 staffers and officers of Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Ministry (KWKPK) received excellence awards in conjunction with KWKPK Excellence Service Award and SKGT Appreciation Night at UCSI Hotel here on Tuesday.

Among the recipients were Dayang Norashikin, Stanley Kuncit, Dr Zufar Yadi Brendan Abdullah, Masnah Narawi, Jebat Mus, Bibi Razali and Dr Siti Zaliha Reduan.

Present to hand over the awards was its minister Datuk Seri Hajah Fatimah Abdullah. Earlier in her speech, Fatimah said the government would always acknowledge the commitment and dedication of civil servants in discharging their duties.

“The government acknowledges the commitment, sacrifice and excellent working culture of civil servants by providing various awards and incentives,” she added.

Citing the ceremony as an example of the government’s recognition of the dedication and commitment of civil servants, Fatimah said it was also to motivate them to improve their work quality. She hoped the award would create a healthy competition among civil servants to improve their quality of service.

At the event, Fatimah who is also Dalat assemblywoman launched the Implementation of Conducive Ecosystem Civil Sector (EKSA).

Also present were Tanjung Datu assemblywoman Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu, Women, Family and Childhood Development Assistant Minister Rosey Yunus, Community Wellbeing Assistant Minister Datuk Francis Harden Hollis and Women and Family Department (JWKS) Director Noriah Ahmad.
