NSJA approves 21 recipients for education incentives

MIRI: The Northern Sarawak Journalists Association (NSJA) has approved 21 eligible candidates for the NSJA members’ children education incentives in academic and co-curricular fields for the year 2023.

Among the Academic Category recipients for 2023 are Naura Mikayla Nadzri, Chai Koh Jun, Jake Lo Zi Qiang, Chyrra Haren Desmond, Chellsea Lahei Desmond, Muhammad Syakir Mohd Syaffuan, Neha Mehrunisa Nadzri, Angel Lee Xin Yan, Adriell Lee Chen En, Chai Koh Vui, Stephine Wong Jia Hui, Wong Jia Hui, Grenier Adry Ensudin Geoffery, Violet Tania Ucha Roger, Bernadette Sungau Bana, Lau Yin Hong, and Alice Sthereshara Pidang Merang.

Meanwhile, under the Curriculum Category, recipients include Genieve Tan Yen En, Esther Teo Ning En, Charlie Wong Ren Yee, Abby Wong, Chai Koh Jun, Chai Koh Vui, and Chellsea Lahei Desmond.

According to NSJA in a statement, the recipients are invited to attend the Media Appreciation Night 2024, hosted by Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting on April 29 at Mega Hotel here.

NSJA president Chai Chon Chin said the Media Appreciation Night serves to foster stronger bonds among media professionals here.

The NSJA Members’ Children Education Incentives programme has been operational since 2017 and is supported by Ting.
