LUNDU: A total of 162 asnaf (underprivileged individuals) and new Muslim converts here received duit raya and 400 packs of five kilograms of rice yesterday (April 28)
Apart from that, 10 suraus each received RM2,000 and five mosques received RM3,000 each for a total of RM35,000.
The donations were from Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Jaafar, who was represented by his political secretary Datuk Seri Syed Hamzah Syed Paie Al-Yahya at the handover ceremony.
Hamzah presented the donations to the recipients at a ceremony at Pehin Sri Haji Adenan Satem Mosque.
