KUCHING: Fifteen residents were made homeless after their house was completely destroyed by fire.

According to the statement, the state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a distress call at 8.56pm on a fire engulfing a non-permanent two-storey house located at Lot 7, Block 2, KM 2.7, Jalan Kelupu, Bintangor on Thursday (June 1).

It was reported that there were 15 Indonesians living in the house, which belonged to EZ Motor Sdn Bhd’s employees.

One of them had sustained a 1 per cent injury as a result of the incident.

The fire was successfully brought under control and its operation ended at 10.59pm.
