16 MoU exchanges on first day of WIEF

KUCHING : 16 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) exchanges were witnessed yesterday by Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at the sideline of the 13th World Islamic Economic Forum (13th WIEF 2017) held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).

The first MoU exchange was between Sacofa Sdn Bhd Malaysia and PT Super Sistem Ultima of Indonesia to enhance business collaboration on the usage of the submarine fiber optic cable network connecting Borneo to mainland Asia at Mersing, Johore. The network will eventually connect Singapore to Batam, Indonesia.

The second MoU exchange was between Malaysia Shaanxi Business Council and Shaanxi Halal Food Chamber of Commerce of China; the agreement aimed to promote halal opportunities for Malaysian based companies in China.

The third MoU exchange was between Resonic Consultancy of Malaysia and Fintec4good Group LLC of United States of America; the agreement aimed to enhance collaboration on Smart City, Blockchain and FunTech in East Malaysia.

The fourth MoU exchange was between Noble Fairway Sdn Bhd of Malaysia, Guang Dong Guo Ken and Nong Ye Tou Zi Co. Ltd of China and the agreement was on Retail non Retail (RNR) strategic partnership cooperation.

The fifth MoU exchange was between Noble Fairway Sdn Bhd of Malaysia, China Guangzhou Bai and Xing Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd of China, and the partnership agreement was on Retail Non Retail (RNR) supply chain partnership cooperation agreement.

The sixth MoU exchange was between Fairway Sdn Bhd of Malaysia and Canada Triwin Holding Group Ltd of Canada, and the partnership agreement was on financial services for China and the “One Belt One Road” countries.

The seventh MoU exchange was between GIG Global Investment (M) Sdn Bhd of Malaysia and China Dong Guan Hai Tai Ke Ren Gong Zhi Neng Ke Ji Co. Ltd of China and the joint venture agreement was to appoint GiG Global (M) Sdn Bhd as a provider of Fintech, talent pool, e-commerce and market force (FinTEM) technology and “Share Economic” principle platform.

GIG will link the east and west countries in online business and application services internationally. The eighth MoU exchange was between YHY Group Sdn Bhd of Malaysia and Z-Run Wellton Industry Co. Ltd of China and the authorization agreement was on appointing YHY Group Sdn Bhd as the exclusive and sole authoriser in Malaysia in issuing the QR code for all halal products and related products to be exported and retailed in China.

The ninth MoU exchange was between YuhuangYan Group (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd of Malaysia and Zrun Wellton Industry Co.Ltd of China, and the Memorandum of Understanding was on the appointment of Yuhuangyan Group (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as the exclusive and sole authoriser in Malaysia to issue QR code for approved bird’s nests and related products to be exported and retailed in China.

The 10th MoU exchange was between Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation Sdn Bhd (MDEC), Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia ( JAKIM) and Hall Amanie Sdn Bhd (HASB) of Malaysia, and the Memorandum of Understanding was on developing a comprehensive Islamic Digital Economy (IDE) framework that included Halal and Shariah compliance framework and Halal business operation framework.
