SIBU: A total of 160 district officers, assistant district officers and administrative officers from throughout Sarawak are attending a one-day conference today at a leading hotel here.
Themed ‘Accelerating Success’, the conference started with an opening remark by Deputy State Secretary (Administrative) Datuk Buckland Bangik followed by a briefing on the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 by Mildred Voon Hian Ya from the Sarawak Economic Planning Unit, Department of Premier Sarawak.
Following this, a briefing on ‘Climate Change’ was conducted by Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability permanent secretary Abang Ahmad Abang Morni and a session about ‘Renewable Energy’ by Professor Dr Shanti Faridah Salled from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).
In the afternoon, State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki will have a townhall session with the participants.
Also present were Deputy State Secretary (Operations) Datuk Hii Chang Kee, Sibu resident Wong Hee Siang and directors from the Premier’s Department.
