160 scouts attend training camp

BETONG: A Scout Badge Training Camp here exposed scouts to improve life skills, leadership skills and strengthen cooperation among each other.

The camp held at SK Spaoh from July 28 to 30 was participated by 160 cub scouts, junior scouts and senior scouts from 10 schools.

Scouts from SK Spaoh, SK Beladin , SK Suri, SK Kalok, SK Supa, SK St. Bartholomew, SK St. Peter, SK St. Paul, MRSM Betong, SMK St.Augustine and SMK Spaoh joined the camping programme.

Chief Scout Commissioner of Sarawak Capt Zainuddin Tan Sri Hamdan officiated the camping programme congratulated the Betong Scout Council and the scout commissioners for organising a camp.

He said it is beneficial to help scouts earn the badges they need to advance in scout training.

Also present were Deputy Chief Scout Commissioner I Methodius Macdonald George Siggie and Betong District Scout Commissioner Britt Martin Gana.
