SIBU: Twenty teams will be competing in the seven football tournaments held in conjunction with the First Series of the Nangka Challenge Series (NCS) 2018. The tournaments will take place at Padang Penjara on July 14 and 15.
Spokesman, Junaidi Ahmad said: “Apart from Sibu, we also accept teams from Kanowit.”
He said futsal, bowling and sepak takraw tournaments had been held in conjunction with NCS 2018.
“The First Series winners will receive a cash prize of RM1,500, the first runner-up RM1,000 and the second runner-up RM250,” he explained.
He added that four teams were eligible to play in the finals of NCS 2018 scheduled to take place from mid-November until December.
NCS 2018 is organised by the Social, Culture, Sport and Unity Bureau of Pemuda Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Nangka and Nangka State Service Centre.
