KUCHING: A total of 25 recipients from the asnaf families and single mothers around here received contributions from the Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud in conjunction with the Jalinan Kasih Ramadhan event last Saturday.
Held at the Head of State’s official residence in Demak Jaya, the ceremony was one of Taib and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib’s annual programmes to perform Maghrib, Isyak and Terawih prayers with the public during the fasting month.
At the event, the recipients received donations in term of cash and daily necessities.
