KUCHING: The charity Malaysia Day Fun Run 2023 is set to witness some 2,500 participants.

Yayasan Farley president Eijing Lau said the run is to raise funds and create awareness for charity organisations.

All the proceeds collected from the registration fees will be donated to various charity organisations.

The charity run is jointly organised by Yayasan Farley and the State Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA Sarawak).

“Knowing that you are running for a charitable purpose is definitely a motivation to run your best race.

“We believe that this charity run will inspire individuals to step up and fulfil their potential as well as continuing the journey towards a better future for all.

“We, therefore,  strongly encourage and welcome the participation of the public,” he said  in his speech during the Fire Safety Campaign in conjunction with Hari Gawai celebration and pre-launching of the Malaysia Day Community Fun Run at Farley Mall today.
