KUCHING: A total of 29 students who are pursuing their studies received educational financial assistance from Plantation Industries and Commodities Deputy Minister Willie Mongin today.
Willie, who is also Puncak Borneo MP, said the contribution served as encouragement to inspire the students as well as to ease the financial burden of their families.
The recipients are studying at the pre-diploma, diploma and bachelor degree levels from several public institutions of higher learning (IPTA) and their private counterparts (IPTS).
Puncak Borneo Parliamentary Constituency Service Centre manager Affin Nyoweng and its project, development and infrastructure manager Halix Kuyong presented the cheques to the students on behalf of Willie.
