SIMUNJAN: Some 3,000 packs of ‘bubur lambuk’ were distributed to residents here.

According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit report, the porridge was distributed by Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris during a programme organised by Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Simunjan and Simunjan Youth 1828 involving Zone 1 and Zone 2 on Sunday (April 10).

“This programme will continue throughout the month of Ramadhan in the Sungai Apin and Rangawan zones.

“This is to strengthen the relationship between the branch committee and the community as well as encourage the involvement of Simunjan Youth 1828 in beneficial programmes,” Awla said.

Simunjan PBB vice-chief Nyanoh Jepoon said he was delighted to be involved in such a programme and hoped that a similar one would be organised next year.
