33 students from SMK Saribas take part in Sadia-Apan programme

DEBAK: 33 students of SMK Saribas, Debak participated in the Sadia- Apan programme. The 7-hour programme, which was conducted by Sadia-Krian Chairman, Andrew Paul, stressed on the Psychology of Learning, Neuroscience, and Pedagogy.

“The knowledge about Psychology, Neuroscience and Pedagogy will aid to their prior knowledge about learning and enable them to self-study at home without relying on teachers’ supervision” explained Andrew.

“I was also sharing about the latest learning skills from the scientifically substantiated Art of Teaching which has been practiced in the developed countries for so many years.

“Apart from teachers, I think it is also important for parents and students to know about all of these methods to assist them in self-study and also when they enter university in the future” he added.

Sybestine Gambong, the sponsor of the programme and also a former student of SMK Saribas expressed his appreciation to the school for their supports towards the programme.

He also hoped that the students could apply what they have learned from the programme in their studies and that they may succeed to a higher level such as university.

A student, Jeffery Ambas, said that prior to attending the programme, he had experienced high level of stress when it came to studying.

“But through this programme, I now know how to control my stress of learning, how to do revision the right way, and as well as learned effective studying skills. “Most importantly, I became more motivated towards achieving my ambition,” he said.
