MIRI: A total of 333 individuals in the Subis district have been identified for listing for the documentation of citizenship status applications.
This documentation process was carried out as part of the Special Task Force Operation to address the issue of Sarawak residents without citizenship status, starting on Nov 13 at the Bekenu Community Hall.
The programme resumed last Wednesday at the Sepupok Niah Community Hall before concluding at the Madinah Village Hall on Nov 21.
It is understood that the objective of this programme is to address issues faced by Sarawak residents without valid identification documents and an undetermined citizenship status.
Additionally, the programme aims to trace and identify Sarawak residents and their descendants without citizenship status.
Moreover, many residents from outside the Subis area also attended to inquire about the status of their applications, including new applications.
