5,000 Jemoreng heads of household receive sacrificial meat

MATU: A total of 5,000 Heads of Household (KIR) in the Jemoreng constituency received a donation of sacrificial meat in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration at the Matu District Mosque grounds, here, on Wednesday.

They received two kilograms each during the distribution.

The distribution of sacrificial meat is not only accepted by the Muslim Melanau community, but also donated to the Chinese, Iban and others in the area.

The recipients expressed their appreciation to Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Dr Juanda Jaya for remembering the people every year during Hari Raya Aidiladha by implementing the distribution of sacrificial meat.

Accordingly, the distribution was delivered by the deputy branch head of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Jemoreng, Aini Latip representing Juanda.

Also present were Matu assistant district officer Zaraina Sahari and Matu District Mosque chairman Mesaleh Shahdan.
