KUCHING: Around 57 school leavers in the Serian parliamentary constituency have been provided with monetary incentives to support their pursuit of higher education.
The incentive, which totalled RM23,000, was handed out at Leort Cottage in Kampung Pichin, Serian yesterday (Sept 1) by Serian MP Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem.
During the event, Riot hoped that they would make the best use of the money they received.
“I also hope that after finishing their studies, the students will return to Serian and contribute to the community here,” he said.
He also thanked the parents and teachers for guiding the students to reach this point.
