806 vaccination registrations via WhatsApp so far

MIRI: The Miri Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) has received 806 Covid-19 vaccination registrations via WhatsApp so far.

Miri DDMC minister in charge, Datuk Lee Kim Shin, said Miri DDMC had included WhatsApp—a free messaging and video calling app—as one of the methods for registration besides the MySejahtera app, developed by the government.

“The public can provide their information by contacting community leaders, their respective organisations, nearby health clinics through WhatsApp,” he said here on Tuesday (July 6).

Those aged 18 and above who have yet to register or have not received any notifications regarding the vaccine are urged to contact the Miri Vaccine Operations Room via WhatsApp or the operations room for the coordinating of vaccine registration at 011-59284348 or 011-59424290.

They are to provide their personal details such as full name, identity card number, telephone number and home address.

Miri residents can also contact the Miri Vaccine Operations Room at 085-322229, 085-322410, 085-322382 and 085-322127.

For those outside of Miri, they can contact their respective district offices, namely Subis District Office at 085-736401/085-719237, Marudi District Office at 085755211, Telang Usan District Office at 085-771018/085-771326/085-771325 and Beluru District Office   at 011-63132717 (WhatsApp) on Mondays to Fridays during office hours.
